ORLANDO, Fla. – UAH's CeCe Szopa has been named the D2CIDA Women's Soccer National Player of the Week for her performance from September 15-21. The goalkeeper from Nolensville, Tennessee, led the Chargers to a 2-0-0 week with clean sheets against No. 13 Lee and Trevecca Nazarene.
Szopa played all 180 minutes in goal for UAH, collecting her first two shutouts of the season. In the 2-0 win over Lee, the junior tallied five saves while facing an onslaught of 17 total shots and 10 corner kicks. Szopa then met 15 total shots and five corners while making six saves in the 2-0 win over Trevecca.
With the announcement, Szopa became the first Gulf South Conference soccer student-athlete to earn national weekly accolades during the 2025 season. Past winners from this season are available
