The Gulf South Conference announced its second women’s soccer Player of the Week awardees of the 2025 season, for performances based on matches from September 8-14.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Alexis Castle, So., D, West Florida 

• Recorded four points with three of three shots on target and played 180 minutes while helping the Argonauts to a 2-0 week.
• Scored her first two career goals in a 2-0 win over Lynn on Thursday.
• Helped organize the UWF backline to a back-to-back shutouts.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Isabella Valentine, Jr., D, Lee

• Played 72 minutes and helped the Lady Flames backline tally a shutout in a 4-0 win over Tusculum on Wednesday.
• Scored the game-tying goal in a 2-2 draw at North Georgia, while playing in all 90 minutes.

GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Belle Okoroafo, Gr., GK, West Florida

• Went 2-0 on the week with six saves and two clean sheets.
• Stopped two of four shots in a 2-0 win over Lynn, then made four saves and faced nine shots in a 2-0 win against Tampa.
• Played 180 minutes across two games.

Yumuri Hernandez, Fr., GK, West Alabama

• Second consecutive GSC Freshman of the Week award.
• Made nine total saves and had two clean sheets while played 180 minutes to go 1-0-1 for the week.
• Stopped five of seven shots in a scoreless draw with Clayton State, before turning away four of 10 shots in 2-0 win at Tusculum.
• Has not allowed a goal in 360 minutes while facing 31 shots.
