AUSTIN, Texas — The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced that West Florida duo Kendall Blackmon and Mya Swinton were named to the 2024 Division II Women’s Soccer All-America Teams.
Blackmon and Swinton both garnered third team honorees for the As an undergraduate, Blackmon posted a 4.00 grade point average while majoring in Special Education. Swinton was recognized after notching a 3.93 GPA while studying Sports Administration.

On the pitch, Swinton finished the season tied or as the sole conference leader in goals (11), assists (eight) and points (30). The senior forward also collected GSC Player of the Year accolades following the regular season. Blackmon logged 1,800 minutes while starting 20 of 21 games on the backline and contributed with two goals.
Student-athletes with a cumulative 3.5 GPA or higher and satisfy other criteria are eligible to be nominated by members of the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA). Nominees recognized with Academic All-District® honors are then added to the national ballot which is voted on all College Sports Communicators members affiliated with a Division II school or conference.
Established in 1952 and selected by College Sports Communicators, Academic All-America is the longest running and premier award for athletic and academic success across championship college sports at all divisions of college athletics.
