GSC Women's Soccer Weekly Awards: Sept. 23

The Gulf South Conference announced its third women’s soccer Player of the Week awardees of the 2025 season, for performances based on matches from September 15-22.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Morgan Goehring, Jr., Montevallo
  • Had an eight-point week (3G–2A) as the Falcons earned conference road wins over AUM and Valdosta State.
  • Scored the lone goal in a 1-0 win at AUM, while tallying five shots with two shots on goal.
  • Tallied a brace and two assists in a 4-0 win at Valdosta State.
  • Finished the week with four of 10 shots on goal.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Campbell Tarentino, So., D, UAH
  • Helped the Charger backline record back-to-back clean sheets as it went 2-0.
  • Played 180 minutes.
  • Had an assist in the 9th minute as UAH defeated No. 13-ranked Lee, 2-0.

GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
CeCe Szope, Jr., GK, UAH
  • Went 2-0 as the Chargers opened their GSC schedule.
  • Played 180 minutes, had two clean sheets and made 11 saves.
  • Faced 17 shots and made five saves in a 2-0 win over No. 13 Lee.
  • Made six saves and faced 15 shots in 2-0 win at Trevecca.

  • Scored her first career goal in a 4-0 win at Valdosta State.
  • Had two shots on goal across two games and tied a season-high with three shots at AUM in the conference opener.
  • Played a season-high 79 minutes at Valdosta State.
