Flagler, UAH Set for GSC Women’s Lacrosse Title Game

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — No. 1 Flagler and No. 2 UAH advanced to the Gulf South Conference Women’s Lacrosse Championship title game as the tournament commenced Friday at the Loretta P. Spencer Sports Complex in Huntsville, Ala.

  • Flagler moved on to the Championship game for the fifth consecutive year and looks to win its fourth title.
  • Lee led 3-2 early on but Flagler was unphased scoring 17 unanswered into the third quarter.
  • Flagler’s Jessica Wright scored a game-high three goals and tallied one assist, while 15 other Saints also found the back of the net.
  • Lady Flame Kamille Kremkau had a team-high two goals, while Kylee Kangas, Taylor McGovern and Lily Tomczik scored one each.
  • Dakota Capolino made four saves in goal for Flagler, while Lee goalkeeper Savannah Weisman stopped 11.

  • UAH returns to the Championship game for the first time since 2024 for a rematch against Flagler.
  • UAH led a tight-game 8-6 at halftime but then outscored Lander 9-1 in the second half.
  • Olivia Rewers had a game-high six points with three goals and three assists for the Chargers. Corinne Baker scored the most goals with four, while Brenna Bohan was a standout defensively with a game-high seven draw controls.
  • Lander’s Kayla Smith found two goals, while five other Bearcats had one apiece.
  • Charger Brooke Denny made three saves in the cage, while Emersin Clamp stopped two for Lander.
