BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Flagler’s Jessica Wright (offensive), as well as Lander’s Kaia Morey (defensive) and Morgan Hill (freshman) were recognized with this season's final Gulf South Conference Women's Lacrosse Weekly Awards Presented by Athletic Solutions, following their performances between April 13-19.
GSC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jessica Wright, Sr., AT, Flagler
Wright tallied a game-high eight points to help No. 1 Flagler secure the 2026 GSC Regular Season Championship. The senior had six goals on 10 shots, as well as two assists in an 18-7 win over UAH. This was her third game of the season with eight or more points. This is Wright’s third consecutive and sixth overall GSC Offensive Player of the Week award of the 2026 season.

GSC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kaia Morey, Sr., D, Lander
Morey led Lander’s defensive efforts to end the regular season with a win. The senior defender contributed two ground balls, two caused turnovers and six draw controls in an 18-2 win over Virginia State. She also finished the regular season with the most caused turnovers in the GSC at 32. This is Morey’s third GSC Defensive Player of the Week award of the 2026 season.

GSC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Morgan Hill, Fr., AT, Lander
Hill registered career-high numbers in points, goals and assists as the Bearcats picked up a win and finished conference play 3-2. The rookie scored six goals, for her seventh hat-trick on the season, and had two assists for eight points in the 18-2 win over Virginia State. She also found one ground and caused one turnover against the Trojans. This is Hill’s third GSC Freshman Player of the Week award of the 2026 season.
