Flagler's Capolino Named IWLCA Goalkeeper of the Year

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. —Flagler’s Dakota Capolino was named the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division II Goalkeeper of The Year. With the announcement, Capolino is the first player in program and Gulf South Conference women’s lacrosse history to earn national major individual accolades.

IWLCA ANNOUNCEMENT

One of the nation's premier goalkeepers, Capolino helped guide the Saints to an incredible 20-1 season, reaching the national quarterfinals of the 2026 NCAA DII Women's Lacrosse Championship. She ranked second in the nation in save percentage with .519 and was also named USA Lacrosse Magazine Second-Team All-America. The backbone of one of Division II's most successful defenses this season, Capolino saved 120 total shots, aiding in Flagler's 6.76 goals allowed per game which ranked third nationally.
