The Gulf South Conference announced its third volleyball Player of the Week awardees of the 2025 season, based on performances from September 22-28.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kaitlyn Grant, Jr., MB, Trevecca Nazarene

• Had 49 points, 42 kills (4.20/set) and hit .440 to help the Trojans to a 3-0 start in GSC play.
• Opened the week the eight kills on 11 swings (.545 hitting) in three-set swept over Union.
• Had back-to-back double-digit kill performances with 14 at UAH and a career-high 20 at Montevallo.
• Weekly ledger also included eight blocks, five digs, and two service aces.

Madalyn Mire, Jr., DS/L, West Florida

• Totaled 61 digs, averaging 6.10 per set, across three matches.
• Began the week with a season-high 29 digs in a four-set win at Valdosta State.
• Capped the week with 19 digs at Union and 13 digs at Christian Brothers. 
• Weekly stats also included seven assists and six aces.
• This is her third GSC Defensive Player of the Week of the season.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Reece Wright, Fr., OH/RS, West Florida

• Had 30 kills on 66 swings, posting a .333 hit percentage to help the Argonauts go 3-0 in GSC play.
• Tallied three consecutive 10-kill performances while on the road at Valdosta State, Union and Christian Brothers.
• Hit .304 at VSU, .240 at Union and .500 at CBU.
• Also contributed with three digs and three blocks on the week.
