BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — West Florida was named as the favorite in the 2025 Gulf South Conference volleyball preseason poll, as the league also announced its preseason all-conference team.
The poll and preseason team were determined by the GSC volleyball head coaches who could not vote for their own or student-athletes.
The Argonauts, who won the GSC regular season and tournament title last year, took the top-spot in the preseason rankings for the 14th time since 2010 as they amassed 100 points and collected all 10 possible first-place votes.

UAH followed with in second with one first-place tally and 91 points. Lee was picked third with 71 points, while Mississippi College and Valdosta State were tied for fourth at 66 points. Rounding out the top-eight and tied-sixth at 53 points was Montevallo and Trevecca Nazarene.
The 2025 GSC Preseason All-Conference selections consists of nine players from five schools. West Florida led all teams with selections. Headlining the lineup was UWF junior setter Gabi Moulton, who was last season’s GSC Player and Setter of the Year, and one of seven names to garner postseason All-GSC honors in 2024.
The Conference also announced its 2025 Newcomer Watchlist, highlighting 26 players from 11 schools. Names and information were submitted by each team’s head coach. Click here to see the complete list.
