The Gulf South Conference announced its third set of men’s soccer Player of the Week awards for performances based on matches from September 15-22.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
David Nunez, Jr., F, West Alabama

• Had three goals as the Tigers went 2-0 to open GSC play.
• Tallied the opening goal during the 18th-minute in a 5-1 win over Trevecca.
• Scored in the 18th and 29th minute to help UWA to a 2-1 win over Lee.
• Finished with four of nine shots on goal while playing 139 minutes.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Harrison Page, So., D, West Alabama

• Had one goal and one assist in the opening week of league play as the Tigers go 2-0.
• Scored his second career goal in the 30th-minute against Trevecca, proving to be the game-winner.
• Provided the game-winning assist in a 2-1 win over Lee in the 29th-minute.
• Helped the UWA backline hold Trevecca to two shots on goal while Lee had seven.

CO-GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Matteo Maccagni, Fr., GK, AUM

• Backstopped AUM to a 2-0 win over Carson-Newman.
• Stopped four of 12 shots he faced.
• Recorded his first clean of his collegiate career.

Sebastian Torka, Gr., GK, Christian Brothers

• Helped the Bucs to a 2-0 win over Union in its conference opener.
• Made three saves while facing nine shots.
• Garnered his second clean sheet of the season.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Gonzalo Rawinad, Fr., F, West Alabama

• Scored in the 60th-minute in a 5-1 win over Trevecca, accounting for his first collegiate goal.
• Played 72 minutes across two games.
• Finished the weekend with two shots, one goal.
