HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — For the second time in three seasons, Flagler and Lander will face-off in the Gulf South Conference Women’s Lacrosse Championship title game. The top-seeded Saints rolled past fourth-seeded Lee, 19-8, while No. 2-seeded Lander held off third-seeded UAH, 12-8, in Friday’s semifinal matchups from the Loretta P. Spencer Sports Complex in Huntsville, Ala.

Game 1 | Flagler 19, Lee 8 (BOX SCORE)
- Flagler advanced to the title game for the fourth consecutive year.
- Saints registered 8-0 first quarter and never looked back, leading 12-2 at the half.
- Sydney Onega led Flagler attack with game-high nine points (5G–3A), Carley Tepel scored four times, while Jessica Wright chipped in with six points (3G–3A).
- Lee’s Hannah Vecsey had a team-high four points (2G–2A), while Noelle Harrington scored twice.
- Saints goalkeeper Lauren Ribadeneira stopped eight of 16 shots on goal, while Lady Flame Savannah Weisman faced 41 shots with 29 on frame.
Game 2 | Lander 12, UAH 8 (BOX SCORE)
- Lander returns to the title game for the first time since 2023 and second time all-time.
- Lander led 8-5 at half. UAH outscored the Bearcats, 3-1, in the third. Lander held on though three-goal fourth period while the defense kept the Chargers off the board.
- Mickey Burnett paced the Bearcat offense with a game-high five points (3G–2A). Brooke Kelly contributed to the cause with three helpers and a goal.
- UAH’s Ella Rutherford had a four-point night with three goals and an assist. Sarah Cole followed with three points (2G–1A).
- In the cage, Lander’s Kara Krusbe made nine saves, while UAH’s Isabelle Sawicki and Farrah Westfall combined for seven stops.
