BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Flagler’s Carley Tepel (offensive), Lander’s Kaia Morey (defensive) and Lander’s Morgan Hill (freshman) were recognized with Gulf South Conference Women's Lacrosse Weekly Awards Presented by Athletic Solutions, following their performances between March 2-8.
GSC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Carley Tepel, Sr., AT, Flagler
Tepel scored six goals to help Flagler remain undefeated at 8-0 on the season. The senior attackman had one goal in her one shot on frame and one draw control in an 18-7 win over Westminster. She also scored a game-high five goals on 10 shots, while adding one ground ball and one caused turnover in a 14-9 win over No. 8 Lynn. This is Tepel’s first GSC Offensive Player of the Week award of the 2026 season.

GSC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kaia Morey, Sr., D, Lander
Morey led defensively to help Lander pick up a win on the week. The senior defender had one ground ball, one caused turnover and one draw control in a loss at No. 5 Tampa. She also found two ground balls, caused two turnovers and added one draw control in a loss at No. 2 Florida Southern, then registered those same results in a close 15-14 victory over No. 19 Florida Tech. This is Morey’s first GSC Defensive Player of the Week award of the 2026 season.

GSC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Morgan Hill, Fr., AT, Lander
Hill recorded four goals as the Bearcats secured a victory over a ranked opponent. The rookie scored one goal in a loss at No. 5 Tampa as well as in a 15-14 win at No. 19 Florida Tech. Her strongest performance came in a loss at No. 2 Florida Southern with two goals and one ground ball. This is Hill’s first GSC Freshman of the Week award of the 2026 season.
