BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Gulf South Conference announced Christian Brothers’ Iman Kheirati (player) and Trevecca Nazarene’s Fred Bailey (freshman) as its second men’s basketball weekly award winners of the 2025-26 season, following their performances from Nov. 17-23.
 

GSC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Iman Kheirati, Sr., G, Christian Brothers
Kheirati averaged 19.7 points and 10.3 rebounds in three games played on the week. He registered 11 points and nine rebounds in a 70-48 loss at Harding, as well as 18 points and 13 rebounds for a double-double in a 78-73 loss against USC Beaufort. The senior had a highlight outing with 30 points, including four 3-pointers, and nine rebounds in a 94-67 win over Bluefield.

GSC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

Bailey averaged 20.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, five assists and 1.5 steals to help the Trojans go 2-0 on the week. The rookie recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds in a 99-66 win over Oakwood. He also knocked down 11-of-13 (.846) from the field for 27 points in a 98-75 win at Tusculum. This is Bailey’s second consecutive GSC Freshman of the Week award.
