PENSACOLA, Fla. — West Florida won the 2025 Gulf South Conference Volleyball Championship on Sunday afternoon with a 3-1 (25-16, 24-26, 25-9, 25-10) decision over second-seeded Trevecca Nazarene.
With the result, the top-seeded Argonauts claimed their eighth consecutive tournament title, 14th in program history, and the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Volleyball Championship.
Emily Breazeale led the attack for the Argos with a game-high 19 kills while posting a .432 hitting percentage. Ana Colon and Kumara Flanagain also reached double-figure kills with 14 and 10, respectively. Gabi Moulton, who was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player, dished out 49 assists and collected 12 digs in the performance.
Addison Cunnagin and Mackenzie Martin had eight kills apiece for the Trojans. Skias Hainline had 31 assists, while Lily Vanbebber recorded 14 digs.
West Florida hit an efficient .345 hitting for match, as it was charged with just 16 attack errors on 139 swings. Trevecca meanwhile hit .078 with 153 total attempts and 25 attack errors.
