PENSACOLA, Fla. — The 2025 Gulf South Conference Volleyball Championship resumed Friday from the UWF Field House with second round action, as No. 3-seed UAH and No. 4-seed Lee advanced to semifinals.

The Championship will resume Saturday, Nov. 22 with semifinals, as top-seeded West Florida hosts Lee at 4 pm CT, while No. 2-seed Trevecca Nazarene faces UAH at 6:30 pm. The Lady Flames received contributions from various players as they earned return trip to the semifinals for the second straight year. Sophia Lippert led the attack with 14 kills, as she was one of four Lee hitters in double-digits. Sara Palumbo followed with 12 kills, while Payton Danley and Jasmine Terry chipped in with 10 apiece. Berra Soyler and Sydney Sharpe combined for 41 assists. Izzy Denton had 25 digs. Esthefany Rabit put together a well-rounded effort with six kills, six blocks, and five aces. 

Montevallo was led by Danielle Greene who had 10 kills and five blocks. Katie Wilkerson recorded 11 kills, while Ellise Hanson had five kills and seven blocks. 

Lee had a notable performance from the serving line finishing with 11 aces. It also logged a .254 hitting percentage for the match, edging out Montevallo who swung at a .242-clip.

Zoe Smith led a quartet of Chargers with double-figure kills, finishing with 16. Caroline Moyer had 14, while Kayla Ward and Mary Grace Bundrant tallied 12 each. Smith also had 10 digs, notching a double-doubles alongside Cooper Garrett (28 assists, 17 digs), Anna Clare Hutto (26 assists, 17 digs). Garrett was three kills shy of a triple. 

Ella Schumacher headlined the Christian Brothers attack as she buried 20 kills. Addison Waggoner had 13 kills and 14 digs on the night, while Carleiny Morillo dished out 50 assists.  

UAH completed the reverse sweep after being down 2-0. The Chargers hit .221 for the match and committed 20 attack errors, while the Lady Bucs swing at .165-clip and were charged with 32 attack errors. With the result, UAH got back to the semifinals for the third consecutive season and sixth time in eight years.
