UAH's Wilken, UU's Bryan Split First GSC Women's Basketball Weekly Awards For 2025-26

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Gulf South Conference announced UAH’s Lili Wilken (player) and Union’s Abigail Bryan (freshman) as its first women’s basketball awards of the 2025-26 season, following their performances from Nov. 7-9.

GSC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Lili Wilken, Sr., G, UAH

In the opening two games of the season, Wilken averaged 22.5 points and nine rebounds, while the Chargers went 1-1 at the D2CCA Tip-Off Classic The senior began the year with a double-double as she had 28 points and 11 rebounds in a 70-65 win over No. 18 Southwest Minnesota State. Wilken then had 17 points and seven rebounds against Wayne State (Mich.) She also went a combined 8-for-8 from the free throw line and knocked down 18-of-35 (.514) from the field.

GSC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Abigail Bryan, G, Union

Bryan averaged 6.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 15.3 minutes as the Lady Bulldogs faced Gannon, Ferris State, and Minnesota State at the D2CCA Tip-Off Classic. Her highlight performance of the weekend was a 12-point, six-rebound effort in a 73-70  win over Ferris State.
