The Gulf South Conference announced its men’s and women’s golf weekly awards recipients of the 2025-26 season, with performances from October 22-28.
GSC MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Dodd Ferrelle, Jr., Montevallo
Ferrelle finished tied for 16th at the Citrus Intercollegiate held at ChampionsGate Golf Course in Championsgate, Fla. He shot 218 (+2) over three rounds, carding scores of 74, 71, and 73. The junior tallied par or better on 46 of 54 holes, including seven birdies. Ferrelle led Montevallo which finished 11th in the team competition.

GSC MEN’S FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Brant Carman, Montevallo
Carman shot 224 eight-over-par at the Citrus Intercollegiate. As a result, the freshman claimed a share of 33rd while carding scores of 74, 75 and 75. Carman recorded par on 32 of 54 holes and had six birdies and an eagle. Montevallo finished 11th while posting a team score of 895.

GSC WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Olivia Ireland, Jr., Lee
Competing at the D2 Elite Invitational at Currahee Golf Course in Toccoa, Ga., Ireland finished tied for 13th. The junior shot 147 three-over-par, tallying rounds of 71 and 76. In a shortened tournament, she had par or better in 26 of 36 holes. Ireland led the Lady Flames to a ninth-place finish in an 18-team field, including 14 ranked opponents.

GSC WOMEN’S FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Lauren Patterson, West Florida
For the fourth time this season, Patterson earned GSC Freshman of the Week honors after claiming a share of 17th at the D2 Elite Invitational in Toccoa, Ga. The native of San Antonio, Texas shot 148 (+4) carding rounds of 70 and 78. She had par or better in 26 of the 36 holes during the two-round tournament. West Florida finished 11th in a competitive 18-team field, which included 14 ranked opponents.
