NEW ORLEANS – The U.S Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced the 2024 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field All-American honors on Tuesday, May 28.
The Gulf South Conference was represented by 27 student-athletes, both men and women included. Lee and Mississippi College led the men with six athletes each, while Alabama Huntsville followed closely with five. On the women’s side, Lee had two representatives, while Mississippi College, West Alabama, and West Georgia each contributed one athlete.
Student-athletes earned First-Team USTFCCCA All-American honors by finishing among the top eight in their respective events, including as members of relay teams, at the 2024 NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field Championships held this past weekend in Emporia, Kansas.
Second-team selections were given to athletes who finished in spots 9-12 in individual events, with ninth and tenth-place relay teams also earning the distinction.
