BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Gulf South Conference has announced its Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Awards presented by Athletic Solutions for performances during March 9-15.
GSC TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Zak Ferguson, Fr., Montevallo
- Medaled in the 800m while competing at the Falcon Classic & Multi.
- Won the 800m and set a school-record with a time of 1:52.73.

GSC FIELD ATHELTE OF THE WEEK
Dedric Hicks, Sr., West Alabama
- Won the shot put event at the Falcon Classic & Multi.
- Tossed 17.46m (57’ 3.5”), more than six feet further than the next closer competitor.
- Currently leads NCAA DII provisional list.
