West Florida Bound for NCAA Volleyball Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS — Gulf South Conference regular season and tournament champion, West Florida will represent the conference in the 2022 NCAA Division II Volleyball Championship.

The Argonauts, who received the GSC automatic bid after winning their 11th conference tournament crown, are the No. 5-seed and will begin their postseason bid against No. 4 Eckerd from the Sunshine State Conference. 

This will be UWF’s its 16th-consecutive trip, tying the conference's record for most NCAA appearances by a GSC team, previously set by North Alabama. West Florida has a 13-15 record in the NCAA tournament and has reached the South Region championship match in 2021 and 2017.

The NCAA Division II Volleyball Championship will begin with regional tournament action from Nov. 18-20, and hosted by No. 1-seed Tampa at the Bob Martinez Center. Advancing teams will then head to Seattle, Wash., for the final three rounds played at Royal Brougham Pavilion from Dec. 1-3.
