West Florida Wins 2026 GSC Men's Golf Championship; Lee's Zielinski Claims Individual Honors

DICKSON, Tenn. — West Florida won the 2026 Gulf South Conference Men’s Golf Championship, while Lee’s Drew Zielinski captured the individual title as the tournament play concluded Wednesday from GreyStone Golf Club in Dickson, Tenn. 

CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL

The Argonauts celebrated a GSC-record 22nd tournament title, finishing the Championship with a narrow one-shot lead over Lee, carding a combined 842. As a result, West Florida tallied the tournament’s second lowest total score for 54 holes, while its 22-under-par was also second-best in Championship history. 

Lee wrapped up it tournament with third round score of 276 and put itself in the GSC record book with the second lowest total round in tournament history. 

Union shot 857 for the tournament and finished third, matching its best finish in the Championship since 2013. Mississippi College took fourth as it shot 868, while Valdosta State and Trevecca Nazarene shared fifth as they each shot 872.

Zielinski made history becoming Lee’s first individual champion as he finished at 10-under par and shot 206 for the tournament. As a result, his 54-hole performance placed him in a tie for seventh in the GSC record for overall total and against par.

Joining him on the all-tournament team was Union’s Lane Carr and Mississippi College’s João Iglesias as they finished in a tie for second after shooting 207. West Florida’s Per Ekelund took fourth (210), while Lee’s Bennett McNabb and Billy Boroughs as well as UWF’s Cooper Tendick and TJ Thompson were all tied for fifth (211).
