DICKSON, Tenn. — West Florida tops the team standings while Mississippi College’s Joao Iglesias stands atop the individual leaderboard after the opening 18 holes of the 2026 Gulf South Conference Men’s Golf Championships at GreyStone Golf Club in Dickson, Tenn.
CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL
The Argonauts shot 285 four-under-par on the first day of action. Mississippi College concluded the opening round one stroke back, carding a team score of 285 three-under-par, while Lee claimed third, scoring 287 one-under-par.
Rounding out the top five was Valdosta State (290/+2) and Union (291/+3).
Behind a bogey-free opening round, Igelsias shot a 66 with six birdies, concluding the day one as the overall leader. As a result, the Mississippi College sophomore tied the tournament’s low-first round score and is the fourth player in tournament history card a 66 in the opening round of play.
Union’s Trace Robinson holds second after shooting a 69 three-under-par, while four players are tied for third after shooting 70 two-under-par.
The 2026 GSC Men’s Golf Championship continues with second round action on Tuesday, with the first group teeing off at 7:30 am CT.
