UWF, Thompson Top Leaderboard After Second Round of GSC Women's Golf Championship

DICKSON, Tenn. — West Florida’s Millie Thompson and the Argonauts remain atop the individual and team leaderboards as second round action of the 2026 Gulf South Conference Women’s Golf Championship concluded on Tuesday from GreyStone Golf Club.

CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL

The Argonaut senior shot a 75 three-over-par in the second round for two day total of 145. After 36 holes, Thompson has a two-stroke lead over Trevecca’s Mattie Goad, who shot 76 four-over on the day. Lee’s Emilia Nordström bettered her positioning as she moved two spots in third. Also climbing two spots and tied for fourth was Cesliee Mokry from Christian Brothers and Montevallo’s Francesca DeRoover.

Montevallo’s Angelia Oliveri was the biggest mover of the day, climbing 15 spots up the leaderboard for a share of sixth. The senior’s push was the result of low-record score of 72 even-par which included seven birdies. 

In the team standings, West Florida holds in first with a seven-shot advantage after two rounds. The Argos carded a 312 in the second round, giving them a team score of 602 after 36 holes. Mississippi College shot 305 for the day, pushing its tournament score to 609. Montevallo moved into third and one-stroke behind MC, while Lee and Trevecca Nazarene round out the top five. 

The 2026 GSC Women’s Golf Championship wraps up with third round action on Wednesday with the first group teeing off at 7:30 am CT.
