2026 GSC Women's Golf Awards Announced

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Gulf South Conference announced the women's golf all-conference teams and individual award winners, following the 2025-26 season. Awards were determined by the conference's head coaches via an online vote.

Lee swept the individual honors with Hannah Nall named Golfer of the Year for the second consecutive season, while Justine Emond earned Freshman of the Year. The Lady Flames were led by Coach of the Year, Geandra Almeida.

Six GSC programs were represented in both all-conference teams. Lee had the most with a first team quartet, while West Florida followed with three. A Mississippi College duo earned spots on the second team, while Christian Brothers, Montevallo and Union had one honoree each.

Nall shot an average score of 71.9 across 25 rounds this season. The senior, who ranked top-five nationally according to Clippd Division II rankings, garnered six top-five finishes this season including two tournament wins. She is the third consecutive player to garner back-to-back GSC Women's Golfer of the Year honors and stretching it to four-straight year that a Lady Flame was recognized.

Emond, a four-time GSC Freshman of the Week, is Lee's second straight top freshman winner. The rookie carded an average score of 74.9 over 25 rounds in her first season. Emond's best finish of the season came during the GSC Women's Golf Championship as she tied for third.

Almeida was tabbed GSC Coach of the Year for the third time after guiding Lee to its first conference title since 2023. She led the Lady Flames in nine tournaments, while placing among the top-five six times. Lee averaged a team score of 295.5 across 25 rounds and secured the GSC's automatic bid to the NCAA Division II South Regional.
