BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — West Alabama’s Ann Marie Stanbridge and Eleanor De Block as well as West Florida’s Miranda Harmon garnered 2026 Gulf South Conference Softball Weekly Awards presented by Athletic Solutions, following performances during the week of April 13-19.
GSC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ann Marie Stanbridge, 1B/P, Sr., West Alabama
Stanbridge had a solid week offensively, going 7-for-14 (.500) at the plate with six RBI and four runs scored to help the Tigers to a 5-0 week. Behind two doubles and two home runs, she tallied a 1.071 slugging percentage. In a three-game at Lee, Stanbridge hit .625 (5-for-8) with six RBI, four runs scored and a walk, as the Tigers swept the series and clinched a place in the GSC tournament. This is Stanbridge’s third consecutive GSC Player of the Week award.

GSC PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Eleanor De Block, Sr., West Alabama
De Block improved to 18-8 on the year, following a 3-0 week with three starts. She posted a 0.45 ERA, allowing one earned, on 12 hits while striking out 18 batters in 20.0 innings and posting a .171 opponent batting average with 81 batters faced. The senior also recorded two complete-game shutouts, tallying a 2-0 win over Columbus State before tallying an 8-0 win at Lee to complete a series sweep. De Block also reached a milestone in Lee series finale, surpassing 300 career strikeouts.

GSC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Miranda Harmon, OF, West Florida
Harmon helped the Argonauts to a series sweep at Mississippi College as she hit .417 (5-for-12) at the plate. She also drew a walk and tallied a stolen during the three-game series.
