GSC Softball Weekly Awards Presented by Athletic Solutions: April 14

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — West Alabama’s Ann Marie Stanbridge, AUM’s Reese Cauley, and Trevecca Nazarene’s Bailey Goad secured 2026 Gulf South Conference Softball Weekly Awards presented by Athletic Solutions, following performances during the week of April 6-12.
 
GSC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ann Marie Stanbridge, 1B/P, Sr., West Alabama
Stanbridge had a solid week, hitting .461 (6-for-13) with seven RBI and five runs scored as West Alabama went 3-2. She slugged 1.308 and had a .611 on-base percentage while tallying three home runs, two doubles, five walks, and added a stolen base. In the Tigers’ series with West Florida, the senior was a 5-for-11 (.455) at the plate with five RBI, three runs scored and three home runs. In addition, Stanbridge became the Tigers’ all-time career leader in home runs and RBI.

GSC PITCHER OF THE WEEK 
Reese Cauley, So., AUM
The Warhawk sophomore posted a 0.33 ERA while going 3-0 with complete game wins against Middle Georgia and Union. As a result, Cauley tossed a combined 25 strikeouts over 21.0 innings and allowed just one run on eight hits. She also logged a .113 opponent batting against 76 total batters. Cauley, who improved to 22-1 on the season, began the week with a 10-strikeout performance in a 5-1 win at Middle Georgia. She then followed with shutouts in back-to-back outings to help AUM win its series with Union.

GSC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Bailey Goad, P/OF, Trevecca Nazarene
Goad contributed from the pitching circle and batter’s box as the Trojans swept Delta State. As a pitcher, the rookie was credited with a pair of complete game wins as she threw 14.1 innings and eight strikeouts, while surrendering three runs on 14 hits. Offensively, Goad hit .444 (4-for-9), slugged .778, and had a .545 on-base percentage while scoring five runs and driving in one.
