BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — West Alabama’s Ann Marie Stanbridge, UAH’s Katie Bracken and Montevallo’s Taylor Rogers secured Gulf South Conference Softball Weekly Awards presented by Athletic Solutions, following performances during the week of March 30-April 5, 2026.
GSC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ann Marie Stanbridge, 1B/P, Sr., West Alabama
The versatile senior contributed to the Tigers’ series win over Trevecca Nazarene from batter’s box and the pitching circle. Stanbridge hit .700 (7-for-10) and slugged 1.300. She also logged a .636 on-base percentage while finishing with five RBI, four runs scored, and had two home runs. Her weekend offensively was highlighted by a 4-for-4 performance with four RBI leading UWA to an 8-7 win. In the circle, Stanbridge worked 7.1 innings across two relief appearances, allowing zero earned runs and six total hits. She was credited with an 8-7 come-from-behind win as the Tigers secured the series victory.

GSC PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Katie Bracken, Sr., UAH
Bracken was credited with three of the Chargers four wins last week, improving to 11-6 on the season. The senior threw 15 total strikeouts in 17.0 innings, while scattering seven hits and four runs with two earned. She posted a 0.82 ERA across the three games while notching a .121 opponent batting average. In both outings against Union, Bracken worked the full seven innings, tossing six strikeouts in the series opener before fanning eight batters in the series finale as UAH completed the sweep.

GSC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Taylor Rogers, OF, Montevallo
The Falcon outfielder hit .400 (4-for-10) with three RBI and five runs scored to help Montevallo to a series sweep over Delta State. The rookie also had two runs, drew two walks, and added a stolen base. In the series opener, she had a standout performance, going 3-for-4 at the plate with three RBI, three runs, and two home runs in an 8-1 decision. This is Rogers’ fourth GSC Freshman of the Week award this season.
