BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — In the sixth set of the 2026 Gulf South Conference Softball Weekly Awards presented by Athletic Solutions, AUM’s Reese Cauley (pitcher) and Montevallo’s Taylor Rogers (player & freshman) were recognized following their performances during the week of March 2-8.
GSC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Taylor Rogers, OF, Fr., Montevallo
Rogers recorded four multi-hit games last week, helping the Falcons go 4-1, as she went 12-for-19 (.632) at the plate with three RBI and six runs scored. The rookie also registered five stolen bases, a .789 slugging percentage and a .632 on-base percentage. She scored for both runs in a 2-1 series-opening win at UAH while going 3-for-4, before a contributing four runs in an 8-1 win in the finale. Rogers opened the week going a combined 5-for-7 with three steals in versus Georgia Southwestern.

GSC PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Reese Cauley, So., AUM
Cauley dominated from the circle last week as she tossed 21-scoreless innings, notching three complete game shutouts with one against Spring Hill and two against Mississippi College. She totaled 10 strikeouts and faced 81 batters, posting a .189 opponent batting average. The sophomore, who improved to 10-1 overall, opened the week with a 2-0 win over Spring Hill, before tallying 7-0 and 3-0 victories to help the Warhawks to a series win over Mississippi College.
