The Gulf South Conference announced its men’s golf weekly awards presented by Athletic Solutions of the 2025-26 season, for performances during Feb. 11-17. Women’s golf was not included since an insufficient number of teams did not compete; the next set of awards will be announced Thursday, Feb. 26.
GSC MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Ty Werynski, So., Delta State
Werynski finished fourth at the Saint Leo Invitational, tallying his sixth top-five finish of the season and first on the spring. The sophomore carded round scores of 69, 68, 70 for a tournament total of 207 nine-under-par. The native of Burlington, Ontario, Canada birdied 15 of 54 holes, tied for fifth overall in a field of 100. Werynski led the Statesmen to a share of ninth on the team leaderboard as it shot 862 two-under-par.

GSC MEN’S FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Miles Jackson, Montevallo
Jackson competed in the Saint Leo Invitational at the Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club in Dade City, Fla. He claimed a share of 10th as he shot 210 six-under-par over 54-holes while notching rounds of 70, 66, 74. His second-round performance was the lowest of the season for the rookie and one stroke shy of the tournament low. Jackson finished with 10 birdies and an eagle as he led the Falcons which finished 16th.
