BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Gulf South Conference Women’s Basketball Weekly Awards presented by Athletic Solutions went to UAH’s Lili Wilken (player) and Valdosta State’s Rebecca Souverain (freshman), following their performances for the week of Feb. 2-8, 2026.
GSC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Lili Wilken, G, Sr., UAH
Wilken was recognized with her fourth GSC Player of the Week award of the season, after helping UAH go 2-0 and secure a spot in the 2026 GSC Women’s Basketball Championship. The senior guard averaged 24 points, eight rebounds, four assists and 33.5 minutes over two games, while shooting 61 percent (19-for-31) from the field and converting 8-of-8 from the charity stripe. She began the week with a 25-point effort while knocking down 10-of-17 from the floor, before making 9-of-14 against Mississippi College en route to finishing with 23 points.

GSC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Rebecca Souverain, F, Valdosta State
Souverain helped the Lady Blazers to wins over Lee and Trevecca last week, while coming off the bench to average 10.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. She completed 10-of-15 (.667) shots from floor, including a 7-for-12 clip versus Trevecca, where she had a career-high 14 points to go along with 10 boards. This is Souverain’s first GSC Freshman of the Week awards, and the third for Valdosta State this season.
