BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Gulf South Conference announced Lee’s Anna Muhonen (player) and Montevallo’s Emily Mouser (freshman) as its women’s basketball awards of the 2025-26 season for their performances between Jan. 19-25.
GSC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Anna Muhonen, Gr., F, Lee
Muhonen helped Lee to another 2-0 week. The graduate student shot 71 percent (20-of-28) from the field and converted 7-of-13 (.538) free throws. She averaged 23.5 points and 11 rebounds, while tallying five total assists, one steal and two blocks. Muhonen had a 23-point performance at AUM with seven boards, before notching a double-double at Montevallo finishing with 24 points and 15 rebounds. Muhonen now has back-to-back GSC Player of the Week awards and three total on the season.

GSC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Emily Mouser, G, Montevallo
Mouser had a solid week, averaging 13.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists for the Falcons last week. She also converted 10-of-22 shots (.455) from the field, including 2-of-5 from three-point distance, and was 5-of-6 from the charity stripe. Mouser opened the two-game slate scoring 15 points against Trevecca while pulling down six rebounds to go with one steal and one assist. The rookie then had 12 points versus Lee with five boards and two assists. This is Mouser’s third GSC Freshman of the Week award.
