BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Gulf South Conference announced Montevallo’s Bryant James (player and freshman) as its tenth men’s basketball weekly award winner of the 2025-26 season, following his performances from Jan. 19-25.
GSC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Bryant James., Fr., G, Montevallo
James averaged 23 points, three rebounds and three assists as the Falcons went 2-0 on the week. The rookie guard had an impressive performance shooting 71 percent (10-for-14) from the field and 60 percent (6-for-10) from behind the arc for a career-high 29 points in a 93-77 win over Trevecca Nazarene. He also registered 17 points, while pulling down four boards and garnering three assists in a 71-66 win over Lee. This is James’ first GSC Player of the Week award of his career.
