BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Gulf South Conference announced Union’s Terrence Ringo Jr. (player) and Trevecca Nazarene’s Fred Bailey (freshman) as its eighth men’s basketball weekly award winners of the 2025-26 season, following their performances from Jan. 5-11.
GSC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Terrence Ringo Jr., Sr., F, Union
Ringo Jr. averaged 23.5 points, 15 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 3.5 blocks in two games played for the Bulldogs on the week. The senior forward went 11-for-16 (.69) from the field for 25 points and had 15 boards for a double-double in a 103-101 loss to Valdosta State. He also had 22 points, 15 rebounds, four assists and four blocks for another double-double against West Florida. This is Ringo Jr.’s second GSC Player of the Week award of the 2025-26 season as he also earned it Dec. 16.

GSC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Fred Bailey, Fr., G, Trevecca Nazarene
Bailey averaged 17 points, eight rebounds and 5.5 assists to help Trevecca Nazarene to a win in GSC play. The rookie recorded 18 points, six rebounds and three assists in a loss to Delta State. Bailey also picked up a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while collecting eight assists in an 85-68 win over Mississippi College. This is Bailey’s second consecutive and fourth overall GSC Freshman of the Week award of the 2025-26 season as he also earned it Jan. 6 as well as Nov. 18 and 25.
