BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Gulf South Conference announced UAH’s Quentin Toles (player) and Trevecca Nazarene’s Jax Abernathy (freshman) as its sixth men’s basketball weekly award winners of the 2025-26 season, following their performances from Dec. 15-21.
GSC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Quentin Toles, Sr., G, UAH
Toles averaged 22.5 points and six rebounds as UAH went 2-0 against GSC opponents on the week. The senior tallied 24 points, eight rebounds and three assists in a 72-68 win at Mississippi College. He also had a strong performance with 21 points and four rebounds, while going 4-for-8 (.50) on three-pointers in a 76-63 win at Delta State. This is Toles’ second GSC Player of the Week award of the 2025-26 season as he also earned it Nov. 18.

GSC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Jax Abernathy, Fr., G, Trevecca Nazarene
Abernathy averaged 21.5 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals in two games played on the week for the Trojans. The rookie shot 8-for-12 (.67) from the field for 21 points in a 107-71 win over Valdosta State. He also had his fourth 20+ point performance of the season with 22 points and added five rebounds, three assists and two steals in an 82-78 loss against West Florida. This is Abernathy’s first GSC weekly award of his career.
