BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Gulf South Conference has announced its Men’s Indoor Track & Field weekly award for the week of Dec. 1-7, 2025.
TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Wes Egalite, Jr., UAH
- Finished second in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.06 at the Birmingham Indoor Icebreaker.
- In the qualifier, placed second overall with a time of 8.10.
- HIs performance in the finals was a NCAA provisional mark and 12th-best in Division II.

FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Dedric Hicks, Sr., West Alabama
- Won the shot put event with a throw of 16.64m (54’ 7.25”) at the Birmingham Indoor Icebreaker.
- He set personal best and a new school record.
- Secured the Tigers’ first event victory in the indoor era.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Kylian Boulanger, Lee
- Won the 5000m race in his collegiate debut at the Commodore Winter Challenge.
- His with a time of 14:46.59 was a personal best.
- The performance ranks Boulanger fourth in the GSC.
