BIRMINGHAM, Ala.— With the conclusion of the conference's regular season and tournament calendar, the Gulf South Conference announced its final standings for the 2023-24 All-Sports Trophy. Topping the overall standings for the fourth season in a row was Lee University with a record 142.5 points.
The Flames record point total surpassed the previous mark of 140.0, which they set in 2021-22. Lee lifted eight GSC trophies during the 2023-24 academic year, winning championship titles in women’s soccer, men’s and women’s cross country, as well as men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track & field, in addition to a regular-season crown in baseball. The regular season standings also saw Lee finish second in men’s basketball and women’s soccer and third in women’s basketball.
As a result of its broad success, Lee also topped the Men’s and Women’s All-Sports Trophy standings, becoming the first school to sweep all three awards in four consecutive yers since the overall award was introduced in 2013-14.

Mississippi College finished second in the overall standings with 119.0 points. The Choctaws claimed two conference crowns in 2023-24, winning the regular season in softball and men’s soccer. MC also notched tournament runner-up finishes in men’s and women’s tennis, while finishing third in at the men’s cross country, indoor and outdoor track & field championship.
West Florida filled out the top three with 113.375 points. The Argonauts won eight GSC titles, with tournament trophies in baseball, men’s soccer, volleyball, and men’s and women’s golf. Meanwhile they celebrated regular season crowns in volleyball, women’s soccer, and men’s tennis.
Four Yellowhammer State schools were among the top 10—No. 4 UAH, No. 5 Montevallo, No. 6 AUM, and No. 9 West Alabama. From the Peach State, No. 7 Valdosta State, No. 8 West Georgia and No. 13 Shorter. Union rounded out the top 10, followed by Christian Brothers at No. 11, and Delta State at No. 12.
ALL-SPORTS TROPHY HISTORY
The Overall All-Sports Trophy counts all sports that a school sponsors, with its regular-season finish in the standings country towards 75 percent of the final rank, and a tournament finish making up the other 25 percent. Affiliate members are included in the calculations but do not qualify for All-Sports Trophy.
The GSC will present the All-Sports Trophies on Thursday, May 30 as part of the conference’s annual awards celebration.
