Women's Tournament
Four teams in the Gulf South Conference women's golf teams are ranked nationally. Lee is the only program among the top-25 in both the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) and Scoreboard by Clippd polls, coming in at No. 15 both. Meanwhile Montevallo (No. 30), West Florida (No. 39) and West Georgia (No. 45) were each among Clippd's top-50.

Lee seeks to secure its second consecutive title and fourth overall since 2018, aiming to break the trend of no repeat winners since their back-to-back victories in 2018-19. The team enters the tournament boasting a scoring average of 297.1 and six top-three finishes. The Lady Flames are led by graduate student Supuschaya “Yui” Srichantamit and junior Banthita Phoncharatkun, both of whom are ranked in the top 55 according to Scoreboard by Clippd.

Reigning champion Alia Scotka, from West Florida, will have to perform well if she wants to retain her title. She will have to fend off former champion Srichantamit who claimed the crown in 2021. Scotka and Srichantamit have the opportunity to become the fourth players in GSC history to win two league titles. Srichantamit has one win on the season thus far with an average of 72.7. Scotka goes into Monday’s opening round with an average of 75.7.

Lee’s Phoncharatkun comes in with three top-three finishes and a scoring average of 73.8. Montevallo’s Madison Rincon is a name to watch, she comes into the tourney with a scoring average of 74.4 per round and one top-three finish.

Men's Tournament Preview
On the men’s side, Lee (No. 9/10), Shorter (No. 23/22) and West Florida (No. 15/14) are inside the top-25 on both the Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches' Poll and Clippd national rankings. Meanwhile Union is receiving votes from the coaches and No. 34 per Clippd.

Shorter has three top-five finishes in its last four events. Lee and West Florida each have two-five finishes in its last three tournaments, while Union has been among the top-three in its last two events.

All four teams also participated at the First Federal Southeastern Collegiate held at Kinderlou Forest GC earlier in the year. Shorter led the way finishing fourth-overall as it shot a combined two-under-par. Lee finished four strokes back at fifth, while Union and West Florida followed at seventh and ninth, respectively.

Individually, the Flames are led by senior Oliver Lewis-Perkins who is currently ranked 18th in Division II and has two tournament wins from earlier in the year and a top-five finish most recently from the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate.

The Argonauts take a collective approach, with three athletes ranked in the top 70 according to Scoreboard by Clippd. Freshman Per Ekelund, junior Fabian Wennerlof, and graduate student Nico Lang hold respective rankings of 63rd, 65th, and 66th in Division II. Lang has two top-three finishes this season, incuding one tournament win at the Bearcat Fall Invitational.

Shorter's Blake Henriques is third among D2 leaders as he enters the conference championship having won three of his last four events, including the First Federal Southeastern Collegiate. Nathan Trodd adds to the team's strength with three top-three finishes.
