Football Players of the Week: Week 4
Following Week 4, the Gulf South Conference Football Offensive, Defensive, Special Teams and Freshman of the Week were announced on Sept. 27. Below are the honorees:
Offensive Players of the Week: Dre' Williams, RB – North Greenville
Williams had a banner day for North Greenville, rushing for a game-high 169-yards on 19-carries as the Crusaders rallied for a 38-7 victory over Erskine. The sophomore averaged an impressive 8.9 yards per carry and punched in two touchdowns, including an 84-yard scamper, his second longest touchdown of the season.

Defensive Player of the Week: Marvin Terry, LB – Delta State
Terry recorded a career-high 11 tackles with six solo stops in an impressive performance Saturday against Division I Jackson State. The senior linebacker also recorded 2.5 of the Statesmen's five sacks and while also registering four tackles for loss for a total of 21 yards.

Special Teams Player of the Week: Colin Karhu, K – North Greenville
Karhu put his stamp on Saturday's win with a 45-yard field goal, a career-high for the freshman kicker. Karku also was perfect in extra points attempts, knocking five PAT's through.

Freshman of the Week: Cale Swift, RB – North Greenville
Swift register his best performance of the season in the run game on Saturday, putting up 91 yards on the ground as the NGU defeated Erskine, 38-7. He also rattled off a career long 59-yard run got the Crusaders offense off of the Erskine two yard line, setting up the Crusaders for their third score of the game later in the drive. he carried the ball seven times and averaged an impressive 13-yards per carry.
