BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Lee’s Taylor McGovern (offensive), Flagler’s Ella Pinder (defensive) and Lee’s Lanie Carroll (freshman) were recognized with Gulf South Conference Women's Lacrosse Weekly Awards Presented by Athletic Solutions, following their performances between Feb. 9-15.
GSC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Taylor McGovern, So., AT, Lee
McGovern had 9 points to lead Lee to its first win of the season. The sophomore attackman scored a team-high eight goals on 12 shots, while finding three ground balls in a 22-11 win over Emmanuel. She also scored one of Lee’s three goals in a loss at Wingate. This is McGovern’s first GSC Offensive Player of the Week award of the 2026 season.

GSC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ella Pinder, Sr., M, Flagler
Pinder’s defensive efforts helped Flagler go 2-0 on the week. The senior middie had a team-high three caused turnovers and five ground balls, as well as five draw controls in an 18-9 win over No. 24 Florida Tech. She also recorded three draw controls in a 24-2 win over Saint. Michael’s. This is Pinder’s second consecutive GSC Defensive Player of the Week award of the 2026 season as she also earned it Feb. 10.

GSC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Lanie Carroll, Fr., AT, Lee
Carroll registered 7 points as the Lady Flames went 1-1 on the week. The rookie attackman had five goals, two assists, five ground balls and one caused turnover in a 22-11 win over Emmanuel. She also had one shot on goal in a loss at Wingate. This is Carroll’s first GSC Freshman of the Week award of the 2026 season.
