GSC Golf Weekly Awards: Sept. 18

The Gulf South Conference announced its second men's and women's golf weekly awards recipients of the 2025-26 season, with performances from September 15-16.
 
GSC WOMEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Emilia Nordström, So., Lee
Nordström finished tied for fifth as she competed in the NCAA DII South Regional Preview held at Cleveland Country Club. The sophomore earned a spot on the all-tournament team after posting a three-round score of 221 (+5). She tallied 12 birdies in the performance, while carding scores of 73-73-75. Nordström led the Lady Flames to a fourth-place finish in their season opener.

GSC WOMEN'S GOLF FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Justine Emond, Fr., Lee
Emond made her collegiate debut at the NCAA DII South Regional, finishing 21st out of 93 total competitors. She shot 226 (+10) in 54-hole tournament with round scores of 79-76-71. The rookie's third-round performance moved her 22 spots up the individual leaderboard as she tied the low-round mark which included four of her seven birdies. As a result, Emond helped Lee to a fourth-place finish.

GSC MEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Cooper Tendick, Sr., West Florida
Tendrick notched his first top-five performance of the season, placing third at the UNG Mizuno Intercollegiate to open the season. The senior posted a three-round score of 210 (-6), finishing one-stroke behind the tournament's co-winners. Tendick logged 13 birdies in the effort that include rounds of 72-68-70. His second showing was two shots shy of the tournament-low score. Tendick led the Argonauts to an eighth-place finish in a competitive 15-team field which included nine of the top-20 ranked teams in Division II.

GSC MEN'S FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Tucker Wick, Fr., Lee 
Wick shot 225 (+9) and placed 52nd in the UNG Mizuno Intercollegiate held at the Chattahoochee Country Club. He carded scored of 70-77-78 while finishing with seven birdies. In his first collegiate round, the rookie boogied just once, opening the tournament with 12 consecutive holes of error-free golf. Wick helped the Flames to a fifth-place finish.
