The Gulf South Conference announced its men’s golf weekly awards recipients of the 2025-26 season, with performances from October 15-21. Women’s awards were not announced this week, as the minimum number of teams did not compete.
GSC MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Drew Zielinski, Sr., Lee
Zielinski won the Golfweek Fripp Island Invitational and become the first active NCAA Division II golfer to receive PGA Tour exemption, earning a pass to the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. The senior had an impressive performance with a three-round score of 207 nine-under-par. He opened the tournament shooting course record 65 in round one, before logging scores of 76 and 66 in the second and third rounds, respectively. He recorded par or better in 46 of 54 holes, including 14 birdies. The Flames topped the 15-team field, featuring 10 top-25 teams, as they by 18 strokes.

GSC MEN’S FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Tucker Wick, Lee
Wick finished tied for tenth as the Golfweek Fripp Island Invitational, earning his fourth GSC weekly award of the season. The rookie shot 215 (-1) over three rounds. In the first two frames, he carded scores of 75 and 71, before firing a 69 in the third to move 16 spots up the leaderboard for his second top-10 finish of the second. He tournament outing also included 11 birdies and two eagles over 54 holes. The Flames topped the 15-team field, featuring 10 top-25 teams, as they by 18 strokes.
