UWF's Thompson Co-Leader After Day Two of NCAA Women’s Golf South Regional

GAINESVILLE, Ga. – Round two of the NCAA Division II Women's Golf South Regional was played on Tuesday, and saw Lee and West Florida remain in the top-11 in the field, while UWF Florida's Mille Thompson claimed the a share of the top spot on the leaderboard.

Lee finished the day in 11th-place with an overall score of 602 after shooting 307 in the second round while West Florida was in eighth at the end of the day with a 36-hole score of 598, after shooting 300.

After a strong start to the tournament, Thompson carded a 71 one-under par in the second round with three birdies, to climb four spots in the leaderboard. After 36 holes, the junior's two-round tally is 142 two-under-par, as she is part of a three-way at the top of the field. Alia Scotka finished the day at 76 four-over-par, pushing her tournament total to 150 six-over par, as she sits 32nd on the leaderboard.

Haley Blevins had four birdies in a 76 four-over-par performance in her second round performance. She leads the Lady Flames in 28th with a two-day score of 149. Olivia Ireland meanwhile jumped 24 spots, moving into the top-50. She carded a birdie on the day while shooting 74 two-over-par
