Lee’s McNabb Leads at NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship Through First Round

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Round one of stroke play for the NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championship began on Monday with Lee and West Florida representing the Gulf South Conference at the PGA National Resort. Through day one, Lee’s Bennett McNabb is at the top of the field as he tallied an opening round score of 66 six-under par. The Flames find themselves in third place at the end of the round at 287, while the Argos finished the first day tied for seventh with a score of 290. 
 
LEADERBOARD
 
Lee was led by McNabb who finished the first round with a ledger of seven birdies and an eagle. Junior Zielinski finished second on the team as he compiled a 72 even-par round with four birdies and an eagle. He finds himself in a tie for 20th heading into the second day. The Flames as a team ended the round with three eagles. 
 
West Florida got balanced performances in the first round with juniors Cooper Tendick and Eddie Lee recording opening round scores of 72 even-par, also putting them in a tie for 20th. Tendick’s ledger includes two birdies so far, while Lee’s ledger includes three birdies.
