UWF Extends Advantage on Day 2 of Men's Golf Tournament

TUNICA, Miss. — The 2025 Gulf South Conference Men’s Golf Championship continued Friday from Tunica National Golf Course. The field were gifted with clear skies but battled windy conditions.

West Florida extended its lead to a 28-stroke advantage. The Argonauts head into the final day with a team score of 572 after 36 holes and shooting 287 on day two. 
 
Delta State and Lee each carded 301. As a result, the Statesmen moved into second, and have a two-day total of 600. The Flames also climbed up the team standings claiming third with a two-round score of 602. Montevallo slipped to fourth, shooting 310 for the round, are one shot back overall from Lee. Valdosta State rounded out the top-five with a two-day score of 604, after shooting 308 today.
 
The Argos own the top three spots on the individual leaderboard as Eddie Lee and Fabian Wennerlof each tallied a 71 one-under par for the round and are tied at 142 two-under-par after two rounds. TJ Thompson meanwhile is third and one stroke back with a two-day score of 143 one-under-par.
 
Montevallo’s Eric Boutwell and Lee’s George Cordall share fourth with a two-day score of 144. Boutwell shot a 73 in round two, while Cordall registered a 71.
 
The third and final round of the GSC Men’s Golf Championship will tee off Saturday with the first group swinging at 8:20 am CT.
