The Gulf South Conference announced its ninth set of women's soccer Player of the Week awardees of the 2025 season, for performances based on matches from Oct. 27-Nov. 2.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Grace Berry, Sr., MF, Lee

• Recorded two points on two assists in a 3-1 win at Delta State.
• Scored two goals with five shots on frame in a 4-1 win against Union.
• Finished the week with three assists and six of eight shots on goal in 239 minutes played across three games.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jillian Thompson, So., D/F, West Florida

• Led West Florida’s defensive efforts to secure shutouts against UAH and West Alabama.
• Registered the Argonaut’s game-winning goal in a 1-0 win against UAH.
• Helped West Florida go 2-0 and earn six points in GSC play in 180 minutes played.

GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Abby Whitcomb, Sr., GK, Lee

• Played 270 minutes in goal to help Lee win three consecutive games and clinch a spot in the GSC postseason.
• Logged 14 saves, only giving up two goals, on 28 shots faced across three games.
• Recorded a clean sheet in a 2-0 win against Christian Brothers.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Maci Ritzman, Fr., MF, Lee

• Started in two of three games played with a total of 159 minutes played.
• Had one goal on two shots taken in Lee’s 4-1 win against Union.
• Helped Lee go 3-0 on the week and earn nine points in GSC play.
