Three GSC Teams, Four Individuals Selected for 2025 NCAA Cross Country National Championships

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Three Gulf South Conference teams and four individual runners were selected for the 2025 NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships. 
 
Lee will take part in the both races after the men’s team took home first and the women’s team placed second at the NCAA Division II South Region Championships on November 8.
 
UAH will participate in the men’s race as it was selected for an at-large bid following a fourth-place finish at regionals.
 
Mississippi College will have two representatives on the women’s side with Lauren Wallace, who automatically qualified as the individual title winner at regionals, as well as Taylor Benoit, who was an at-large selection after finishing in seventh place at regionals.
 
Union’s Addi Aguayo will also participate in the women’s race following a third-place finish at regionals which earned her an automatic qualification as an individual.
 
Christian Brothers will have a representative in the men’s race with Basile Chevrel as an at-large selection after he placed 12th at regionals.
 
The 2025 NCAA Division II National Championship will be held at the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course on Nov. 22 in Kenosha, Wisconsin with University of Wisconsin-Parkside serving as the host. The women’s race is set to begin at 11 a.m. ET, followed by the men’s race at 12:15 p.m. ET.
 
The races will be available to watch through a live stream on ncaa.com beginning at 11 a.m. ET.
 
Thirty-four teams were selected to participate in each championship. The top three, seven-person teams automatically qualified from each of the eight regions, for a total of 24 teams. Ten additional teams were selected at-large. A minimum of 24 additional individuals were selected to participate in each championship through an automatic qualifier and at-large selection process.
