Week 6 of the 2025 season provided plenty of highlights and excitement despite two GSC teams in action, as Valdosta State visited FCS opponent The Citadel, while third-ranked West Florida hosted Chowan. The conference went 1-1 on the week and is now 18-5 overall in non-conference contest this season, while improving to 14-3 against Super Region 2 opposition and 10-2 against Conference Carolinas.

The Blazers slipped to 2-4 on the season as they fell to their Division I-foe, 38-14. Valdosta State was held to 152 offensive yards, while the Bulldogs had 399 offensive yards. Freshman running back Shawn Paschall was a bright spot for the Blazer offense as he rushed for 56 yards on 10 carries and scored both VSU touchdowns. Defensively, Jaden Dawkins led the Blazers with a game-high 10 tackles including four solo stops.
West Florida meanwhile improved to 6-0 on the year as it tallied a 40-10 win over Chowan. The Argonauts led 20-3 at the half before blowing the game open in the third as they scored on their first three possessions of the quarter. UWF finish. Argo quarterback Marcus Stokes led the way with 292 yards and four touchdowns, while running backs TJ Lane and Jay Sharp combined for 172 rushing yards. Walker Robinson led the defensive effort with a team-high tackles, two tackles for loss and one interception.
