West Florida, Lee Advance to GSC Men's Tennis Championship Final

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The title match for the 2026 Gulf South Conference Men’s Tennis Championship is set and will feature No. 1-seed West Florida and No. 2-seed Lee. West Florida 4, Mississippi College 2
The Argonauts return to championship match for a GSC-leading 25th time, following a 4-2 win over fifth-seeded Mississippi College. The Choctaws won the doubles points for a 1-0 advantage. 

The match was then quickly tied, 2-2, after West Florida claimed No. 1 and No. 4 singles while MC took No. 3. Following a rain delay, Diego Duran made it 3-2 for the Argonauts with a 6-1, 3-6, 6-1 decision at No. 2 singles, before teammate Mark Neyelov secured the win with a. 6-4, 0-6, 7-6 win at No. 6.

Lee 4, West Alabama 2
The Flames will appear in the program’s first GSC Men’s Tennis Championship final, thanks for a 4-2 victory over No. 3-seed West Alabama. UWA led 1-0 early after taking two-of-three doubles matches. 

Lee’s Filipe Krohn quickly tied the match as he received a point at No. 1 singles, before Rytis Razminas followed soon after at No. 6 singles to give Lee a 2-1 advantage. The Flames then made it 3-1 as Stefan Mos took No. 4 singles 6-1, 1-6, 6-4. West Alabama’s Maksim Goncharov trimmed the deficit to one, as he rallied to a 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 5. Jip Langerhuizen however closed out the match and punched Lee’s ticket to Saturday with a win at No. 3.
