Thirty-nine Gulf South Conference basketball student-athletes—13 men and 26 women—earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team honors, following the 2025-26 season.
CSC ANNOUNCEMENT
In addition, CSC announced that eight student-athletes will advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Moving on from the men's side will be West Alabama's Christian Thompson along with West Florida duo Aric Demings and Elijah Wyche. Meawhile five names from the women's side—UAH's Lili Wilken, Lee's Anna Muhonen, Trevecca Nazarene's Cheyenne Trotter, Union's Olivia Lee, and West Florida's Isabel Grimes. A total of 11 GSC member institutions were represented.
The award recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men’s and women’s basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. Academic All-America® selections will be announced April 14 (men) and April 15 (women).
