Nine GSC Schools Feature in Learfield Directors' Cup Standings Update

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Three Gulf South Conference member institutions—West Florida, UAH, and Lee—are among the top-50 in the latest update of the 2025-26 Learfield Directors’ Cup Division II standings.

STANDINGS: OVERALL / CONFERENCE

In total, nine Gulf South schools appear standings update following the conclusion of winter sports. Checking in at No. 21 and leading the conference is West Florida (308 points), while UAH sits at No. 32 (288.50 points) followed by No. 44 Lee (240.75 points). The GSC was one of nine Division II conferences to have at least three members ranked among the top-50.

Also representing the conference in the standings was Mississippi College (No. 79), Delta State (No. 112), Montevallo (No. 122), Union and West Alabama (tied-No. 165), as well as Valdosta State (No. 192).

The Learfield Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships.
